Devil in History Channel ‘The Bible’ Resembles Obama

Devil in History channel The Bible Resembles ObamaDoes the Devil in ‘The Bible’ TV miniseries reminds you of anyone? A huge controversy is brewing over how Satan resembles President Obama in History Channel’s miniseries ‘The Bible.’

The controversy is taking over the web like wild-fire! The resemblance between the actor who plays the Devil and president Obama has stroke a nerve among Obama supporters. It even grabbed the attention of the Christian conservative commentator, Glenn Beck, who was one of the first a few who hyped the subject on Twitter.

Accidental or otherwise, the Satan in History’s ‘The Bible’ miniseries looks very much alike an older version of the United States president. Mohamen Mehdi Ouazanni is the actor who plays the Devil in the miniseries. Ouazanni is a veteran Moroccan actor who had also played starring roles in other faith-based films such as “The Satanic Angels,” “David,” “Jeremiah,” “The Ten Commandments,” and a few others.

Looking at a picture of Ouazanni without makeup doesn’t reveal any particular resemblance between him and Obama. In ‘The Bible’ the makeup artwork gives Ouazanni, who plays Satan, a darker complexion and facial features very similar to those of the U.S. president. Whether that was done intentionally to make the Devil looking like Barak Obama is what’s heating the growing controversy.

Drawing about 10.8 million viewers on its second season, “The Bible” is considered a huge hit for The History Channel. The show is executive produced by Mark Burnett and his wife, Roma Downey. Mark Burnett is also the creator of the “Survivor.”

The producers of the show have responded to the concerns by saying “This is utter nonsense,” not agreeing with claims that Ouazanni resembles president Obama.
